ADWAIT led a session on meditation, emphasizing the idea of approaching each session as if it were the first, despite their individual experiences and length of practice. He encouraged practicing silence as part of the meditation technique. 
 

Mind Control and Meditation Techniques 

Adwait discussed the importance of training the mind for meditation and the techniques to control the mind according to Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra. He emphasized that the mind has a natural tendency to think about the past or future and that this nature can become problematic in meditation. Adwait highlighted the importance of understanding the mind as a servant, not a master, and methods to regain control of one’s inner world. He also underscored the importance of studying Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra for anyone interested in spiritual awakening or transformation. 
 

Silence, Mind Control, and Unity 

ADWAIT discussed the importance of silence and controlling one’s mind. He used the analogy of a dog to illustrate the concept of control, emphasizing that a mind that is uncontrolled is like an untrained dog. The theme of the meeting was centered around silence as a tool to activate the crown chakra and achieve a state of samadhi, or a sense of unity with the universe. ADWAIT guided the attendees through a meditation, instructing them to visualize the divine, relax their bodies, and control their mind through their breath. He highlighted the concept of non-dualism, stating that everything, including the good and bad, is a part of the divine. ADWAIT advised the attendees to practice forgiveness, transcendence, and patience, and encouraged them to enter into a state of utmost solitude. 
 

Breathing for Peace and Relaxation

ADWAIT discussed the importance of proper breathing and posture, emphasizing that longer, deeper breaths can lead to a state of peace and relaxation. He noted that the breath and the mind are interconnected, with a faster body breath suggesting a restless mind, and vice versa. ADWAIT guided the listener through a meditation, encouraging them to try to make their breath as long and slow as possible while maintaining awareness and proper posture. He concluded by suggesting that the best state is when the breath stops, but the mind remains still. 
 

Spirituality, Visualization, and Peace 

Adwait spoke about experiencing spirituality and perceiving natural things, such as seeing the Galaxy or Jesus. He emphasized the importance of maintaining a pure state of mind through release and freedom from tension and memories. Adwait guided the audience through visualizations, encouraging them to think positively for the manifestation of happiness and health for all beings. He concluded the session with a chant, explaining its meaning as peace for the entire universe. 
 

Guided Meditation and Experience Sharing

ADWAIT guided a meditation session where participants were instructed to move their hands, rub them, and place their warm palms over their eyes to feel the darkness and the energy. Participants were also directed to place their palms on different parts of their body, including their chest, throat, and sacral chakra, to heal various areas. iPhone shared their experience, expressing a sense of stable unstability, a feeling of hovering, and a loss of the spiritual connection when focusing on deeper breaths. Despite the distractions, iPhone expressed excitement for the potential of the meditation practice. 
 

Humility, Growth, and Meditation

Tenajia expressed gratitude for the learning journey and thanked ADWAIT for the guidance. ADWAIT emphasized the importance of humility and continued growth, often using metaphorical language. Carmen shared her experience with meditation, describing her struggles with restlessness and finding a comfortable posture, but also noting the progress she made. ADWAIT affirmed Carmen’s experience and also spoke about the significance of breath retention in meditation. Adish shared that he felt restful and relaxed after the practice, but also voiced some doubts about the process, specifically about the position of the palms during the practice. ADWAIT welcomed Adish’s questions and encouraged open communication. 
 

Hands, Breath, Stress: Meditation Techniques

Adwait guided Adish through the correct positioning of the hands during a meditation practice, emphasizing that the palms should face upwards and be comfortable in the lap. Adwait suggested that the breath should be longer, slower, and deeper throughout the practice, responding to Adish’s question about the consistency of the breath. Adwait highlighted that making the breath longer, particularly when feeling restless, would be beneficial. Adwait’s guidance was based on the experiences of Tenajia, who found feeling tense when she paid attention to her breath. Adwait noted that while this practice might initially feel stressful, it would become enjoyable with familiarity. They also discussed the importance of breathing techniques in their rituals and courses, with Adwait explaining that holding the breath is beneficial, but not always recommended for beginners. He suggested a focus on inhaling and exhaling deeply, while confirming that merely observing the breath without trying to change its speed or control is an advanced practice. Adwait warned that changing the breath could lead to negative experiences in advanced practices, reinforcing the importance of not changing the breath. 
 

Meditation Session Review

Tenajia expressed appreciation for Adwait’s questions, and Adwait praised Rakesh and Tara’s experience during the session. Taraneh’s shared her experience, mentioning a deep and relaxing experience, while Heekyoung discussed her struggle with anger and fatigue during meditation. Adwait noted Heekyoung’s progress and encouraged her to continue. Finally, Sonia shared her first experience with the session, noting her ability to relax.
